School is over for this semester! That means I’m back to blogging semi-full time, right? Not quite. I’ve been stuck in a rut where I have no motivation to write. I first got WordPress a couple of years ago because the old writer in me had the desire to write, write, and write… about anything and everything. These days I just don’t have the same passion or time to put in the effort.
I still want to share my random thoughts with everyone, so I figured the best way to do this is through Tumblr. I’ve thought about this for a few months already. WP was amazing when I used to write entries upon end. Now, it’s too much for me. Tumblr, I find, is better for microblogging.
However, I’m not leaving WP quite yet. I still have to find a way to export all my old WP content to Tumblr. Hollar at me if you have any solutions.
Things have been crazy lately, hence the lack in blog updates. Hopefully once my midterms get out of my way and my schedule has simmered down, I can upload more delicious content for your enjoyment. In the meantime, thanks for sticking around.
Has it really been over a month since I blogged? I’ve been a terrible blogger lately. Can’t even keep up with my easy-peesy 30 Day Blog Challenge . For shame, I know. That’s the thing about me. I go through cycles of insane blogging everyday (even downloading the WordPress app on my iPhone so I can blog on the go) to extended periods of ‘blog-cations’.
It’s not completely my fault though. I have a problem with balancing my studies, social life, and blogging life. Nine times out of ten, I’d choose my social life over blogging. And by social life, I actually mean real social networking with real people I know and not just talking to randoms through my fingertips over the interw3bs. Crazy, huh?
So back to my schooling situation. I was hoping this Fall was going to be my “best semester ever” as I always express before each semester. But alas, that’s not going to happen… again. Nothing is going quite right and the fact that no one, not even I, know what’s going on in chem isn’t helping either.
Well, that’s my updated life from November until now. Nothing glamorous. Nothing exciting. The semester will be over in more than a week. Hopefully by then I will have more to blog about. But for now, I’ll just try to keep up with my 30 Day Challenge — even if it does take me another 60 days.
Remember my 365 Day Blog Challenge? Yeah, I didn’t think so. I challenged myself to take at least one photo everyday for one year. And well, that didn’t turn out so well. I stopped at Day 73 (August 12). It seemed simple enough: one photo a day? Easy peesy! Not so when you have school full-time and a life outside of the interwebs to worry about. I think what did me over was the longevity of it. One year is a long time and I got bored after a few days.
I want to start blogging regularly again, but a year-long goal is too much to ask. So starting some time within the next week or so, I will begin a 30-day blog challenge. *cue fanfare!* I’ve seen these things floating around online the past year and the topics seem interesting enough that I might actually keep up with it.
